In 2002, significant investments were made by Ulkar Holding as part of the reorganization of Almaty Pharmaceutical Factory. By modernizing existing manufacturing areas, new manufacturing areas have been established in accordance with international GMP standards. In the first stage, $40 million was invested in the plant and an additional $30 million was invested in order to increase manufacturing capacity in the scope of the investment activities of the year 2015. In the short-term projection, another $50 million investment is planned for the development of scientific technological potential and the manufacturing of biotechnological products.

Nobel AFF located in an area of 10,000 m², has 5 manufacturing areas where solid, liquid, suspension, semi-solid and gel drug forms are manufactured. All available manufacturing areas in the factory are GMP-certified and is engaged in manufacturing activities at international standards. Nobel AFF was the first company in Kazakhstan to receive GMP certification in 2011 and has successfully passed audits by World Health Organization experts. Nobel AFF has received full marks from auditors from both Kazakhstan and CIS countries, as well as auditors of multinational pharmaceutical companies that perform contract manufacturing.

The manufacturing areas of the site have ventilation facilities at GMP standards; It is equipped with modern equipment supplied from Italy, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, the USA, Turkey, India and South Korea.

Annual manufacturing capacity is 750 million tablets, 250 million capsules, 20 million vials of syrup-suspension, 10 million tubes of cream-gel, which constitute a significant share in the Kazakhstan market.

As of today, Nobel AFF’s product range includes nearly 250 products covering 83 molecules in various pharmaceutical groups such as antimicrobial, antibiotic, pain killer-antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antihypertensive, hypolipidemic, neuropsychiatric, antitumor, and oncological drugs.

Our facility has a physical and chemical analysis laboratory, microbiology laboratory, and in-process control laboratory. Our international grade laboratories are accredited by competent government agencies and equipped with the state-of-the-art technology and measurement instruments. Furthermore, the ready-made products manufactured undergo controls in the laboratory of the “National Appraisal Center for Pharmaceuticals, Medical Materials and Medical Technical Devices” under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Nobel AFF ranks second among local pharmaceutical manufacturers in Kazakhstan by sales volume. Constantly increasing its export volume, Nobel AFF exports to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia. According to the results of 2018, Kazakhstan has become a leader in exports among pharmaceutical manufacturers.

The company’s main objective is to improve the quality of life of people by manufacturing quality, reliable and domestic medicines, and to provide consumers and doctors with accurate and useful information about the products launched to the market. To this end, the company has representation offices in all cities of Kazakhstan.

As of today, there are a total of approximately 500 employees in the company. Company employees regularly attend professional training seminars and are trained according to GMP and ISO rules. The company’s quality management system complies with ISO 9000:2001 and holds certificates from the Turkish Standards Institute and the Center for International Documentation System.
